Carrie Miller:
Amazon creators can now tag Amazon products. Authors can now advertise their audio books and new exclusive limited time deals. This and more on this week’s episode of the Weekly Buzz. How cool is that? Pretty cool, I think. Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of the AM/PM Podcast by Helium 10. I’m your host, Carrie Miller, and this is the show that is our Helium 10 Weekly Buzz, where we give you a rundown of all the goings on in the Amazon TikTok shop and e-commerce world. We let you know what new features Helium 10 has, and we also give you a training tip of the week. So let’s get started and see what’s buzzing.
Carrie Miller:
All right, so let’s go ahead and actually just get right into it. This is a new, very exciting piece of news that YouTube Shopping, now you can actually tag products. So any of those creators can tag products on Amazon and they’ll get commissioned for them. There’s a whole video on this that we’re gonna link in the description below, but I actually paused it right here to show you exactly how you can be a part of this program and make sure that you have all the requirements. So these are the things you need to be able to get into this program. So you must be enrolled in the YouTube Partner Program, the YouTube Shopping Affiliates, and Amazon Influencer Program or Amazon Associate Program with your account active and in good standing.
Carrie Miller:
So then the next thing that you’re gonna do is you’re gonna actually link to YouTube. It could be either like the Amazon Influencer Program or the Amazon Associates Program. You’re just gonna link that to YouTube, and then Amazon provides YouTube with a curated catalog. So it’s not necessarily every product that’s gonna be in here. And then basically those products are gonna be highly requested, highly trending products. And if you can’t find a product that you want to do, you can actually contact support. So for example, if you’re a seller and you’re working with a creator and you want them to tag your products, then all you have to do is open up a ticket to see if you can get that opened for your product. You can also do auto tagging to have Amazon do the tagging for you. So if it’s just kind of like a generic product and then you want Amazon to tag it, you could do that.
Carrie Miller:
There’s aggregated analytics. So you’re gonna see an overall daily earnings and that’s gonna not show though the details of each product and video. So it’s not detailed, but it does give you an overall. And then the finalized payments are gonna be paid out with the standard YouTube Affiliates Program. There are returns and negative balances, just like anything. And something they wanted us to know is that you always need to do the affiliate disclosure on your video saying that this is sponsored. Something that I just wanted to point out for sellers is that this is a really good opportunity, kind of the same as TikTok Shop to really reach out to YouTube creators, especially they have a really engaged audience and it’s a great way to help to promote your products. So they can also get that commission as well. So really great opportunity.
Carrie Miller:
I think it’s kind of like TikTok Shop, but a little bit more closed off for the actual affiliates, but really good opportunity. So if you haven’t started working on that, you might wanna start contacting some YouTube influencers. So yeah, if you haven’t checked out that whole program, go ahead and check it out and see if you can find some influencers for your products. Or if you’re an influencer, another great way to, post your videos on another platform and get Amazon commissions. All right, next up, we actually have the new feature alert with Bradley. So go ahead and take it away, Bradley.
Bradley Sutton:
All right guys, I’ve got some new features for our Helium Agent. All right, for those who haven’t seen it before, it is a new AI that we have built in to Helium 10 and it’s called Helium. You guys see it here, this hovering button right here, it’s actually kind of like if you’re using Claude or ChatGPT, but within Helium 10 without needing one of those outside AIs. So let me first show you what prompted this prompt that I’m about to use. You could see in this hemp pain cream account, sales have been just going kind of bonkers over the last week. Here were $1,800 worth of sales, where last week, it was like 500, 1,000, 650.
Bradley Sutton:
And so I was wondering, hey, what could possibly be the reason for some of this increase in sales? So let me show you what I prompted right here in our agent. So first let’s look at the prompt I did. I said, hey, for the roll-on product in our Helium 10 account, that’s the top seller. Analyze why sales have been up the last week. Look at page sessions, were they up the last seven days compared to the previous seven days? What about the comparison of unit session rate from the last seven days through the 31st compared to the previous? Any major keywords I’m tracking in Keyword Tracker that had at least 500 search volume that entered the top 10 that weren’t in the previous? What about impressions in advertising or conversion rate?
Bradley Sutton:
Did those go up? So these are the type of things that you guys can prompt. Looking at things that you might see manually inside of Helium 10 or pulling in a lot of reports, I just wanted to do it all at once. And so here we go. First of all, it showed the sales increase 50% up on units sold. My first question to it was page sessions up. Look, it says no, sessions were actually down. It’s kind of shocking right there. But here we go, unit session rate went from 21% to 28%. All right, first of all, this should show you guys what happens when you change a part of your listing so that you’re able to increase your conversion rate, unit session rate. You change it just a few percentage points. You can have a lot bigger result on your actual sales.
Bradley Sutton:
As I go down further in this report, it gave me the report of the advertising and impressions. And I can see impressions even in advertising were actually down. However, the ad conversion rate and click-through rate was also up and ad orders were up by 28%. Here it showed me the list of all the keywords where I’m in the top 10 per Keyword Tracker. And it showed that actually search volume was up on some of these keywords that I’m in the top 10. So if I’m ranking highly for a keyword, but search volume is up one week to the next, that means there’s more eyeballs, more at bats at the plate for people to even see me, right?
Bradley Sutton:
And so there’s another reason for why my sales were up. So this is a great way, guys, to start analyzing your accounts. You now have the unit session rate. You’ve got Keyword Tracker that you could check inside of the agent. And within seconds here, I can find answers that might have taken me at least 15 minutes, if not more, just trying to do this manually. Now, doing this actually had me think of something else. It was like, wait a minute, what if I started ranking for keywords that I wasn’t even tracking in Keyword Tracker because I didn’t know I was ranking for it. So I entered another prompt that you guys can use too. You can use this on any of your products.
Bradley Sutton:
Copy and paste this, guys. Run Cerebro on the roll on listing. This product is called a roll on. Find any keywords that are more organically ranked in the top 20 positions that have at least 500 search volume. For those keywords, show me the ones that I’m not currently tracking for this product in Keyword Tracker. All right, pretty cool, right? Here’s the list. There’s tons of keywords actually I started ranking for that I wasn’t tracking in Keyword Tracker. So there’s another source of where I could be getting sales from that I didn’t know about. And then I was like, you know what? Give me the list of found keywords without brand names so I can add them to Keyword Tracker later. I can just add it directly. But right here it gave me the keywords that I’m not tracking and it gave me a copy paste list. So I just, you know, go ahead and copy this. I can go over to Keyword Tracker.
Bradley Sutton:
I look at the roll on listing, edit it, and just add on all of these keywords. Look at that. In five seconds, now I’m tracking all of those keywords that I didn’t even know I was ranking for. So guys, the Helium Agent here can do so many things for you. And let me tell you, it is actually a lot faster than if you’re using Claude or ChatGPT because it’s living inside of Helium 10. It’s got direct access to the data. You know, Claude is like trying to pull the data first through the MCP and then, you know, Claude might take some time processing it. This is actually more than twice as fast as using that. So guys, if you haven’t used it yet, make sure to click this little guy right here on the bottom of your screen, ask it some questions, run some things that can help your business, check which tools that you can use it for in Helium 10 and it’s going to be really great for you and save you a lot of time.
Bradley Sutton:
Speaking of the Helium 10 Agent, we have a webinar next week that will go over a lot of cool prompts like this that those of you who are new or those of you who are advanced, wondering if you can do it or not, you’ll be able to copy. So you can use it in your own accounts. So if you’d like to go to this AI Agent Workshop with myself and Andrew Bell, or it might be Carrie actually, who’s heading that webinar up, one of us will be there, make sure to go to h10.me/agentworkshop. You’ll be able to attend that live event next Friday afternoon. We have another live event in person. Anybody in California, we have limited seats available, 25.
Bradley Sutton:
It’ll be an in-person workshop, usually just for elite members, but we’re opening it up. It’ll be in Los Angeles, right before the CoCreate Alibaba Conference. So guys, go to h10.me forward slash elite Alibaba. You’ll be able to see Kerry there in person. We have some great speakers. We’ve got Vincenzo. He’s coming to us from the UK. He’s gonna be doing some advanced advertising strategy for you guys in person. We’ve got Kian coming all the way to us from Dubai. He’s gonna be talking about advanced sourcing and supplier negotiation strategies. And we actually have Alibaba themselves there, and they’ve got a special guest, or a special treat, I should say, for any of you who attend. You’re gonna get access to their brand new AI, which is pretty amazing. It’s actually an AI that’s not just about Alibaba sourcing, but it’s like having a full clod. So anybody who comes in person is gonna get exclusive access to this really cool AI. I’m not sure what the special is, it might be free.
Bradley Sutton:
Gotta go to find out, but we’ve got great speakers. We’re gonna have food there. Great networking right in downtown LA. So if you guys would like to attend this, tickets are running out, h10.me/elitealibaba. It’s gonna be September 8th in LA from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. So that’s next Tuesday, and we will see you there.
Carrie Miller:
Thank you so much, Bradley. All right, so let’s go ahead and get into the next piece of news, which is that authors can now advertise their audio books with sponsored products and sponsored brands. Now before, you could really only advertise on the actual digital or printed versions, but now you can advertise your audio books. So this is really great news. And it says it down here, what actually launched. It says authors, including ACX creators, can now advertise their audio books with sponsored products and sponsored brands ads. Before this change, they could only do digital and printed format. Why is this important? Well, sponsored ads can help boost visibility and drive sales to your audio books.
Carrie Miller:
So if you were kind of lagging on the actual audio book sales, now you can actually drive some sales specifically to your audio books. So that’s a great new thing. It’s only available in North America and the United States, and it’s for authors. So there is some information in this link that we’re gonna give you on how to access it. So if you want more information, you can click on the link for this article from Amazon. Okay, so next up, you can now create exclusive limited time deals for business customers through Amazon Business Deals. And this is starting August 31st, so it’s already passed. We already can start this. You can create exclusive limited time deals for business customers.
Carrie Miller:
And this is available in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico, and Australia. And so basically these are exclusive B2B discounts for durations from one hour to up to 30 days. So you can actually choose a fixed price or a percentage off promotions. And during major shopping events like Prime Day, Big Deal Days, a lot of this stuff is coming up. Your deals may actually receive enhanced visibility through dedicated email and push notification campaigns at no additional costs until December 31st. So that’s pretty exciting. So your products, if you wanna do this, they must have a 3.5 plus star rating, be a new condition, and meet pricing and seller performance requirements to be eligible. The deals must also meet minimum discount requirements at least 10% off for the regular deals and 15% for high velocity event deals, like Prime Day, Big Deal Days, and Black Friday and Cyber Monday. And by participating, it says you can reach over 11 million registered business organizations globally, gain greater visibility during events, and tap into additional traffic that deal placements bring to new products.
Carrie Miller:
So this is a great opportunity, especially if your product is really something that is important for businesses, maybe even just office supplies or maybe construction supplies. There’s all kinds of different things that you can utilize this for. But even if you don’t think that it is, maybe you could just try it and see, I don’t know if businesses are buying something like that. So go ahead and check that out if you do want to take part in these business deals. And next up, we actually have Shivali and she is going to be sharing our strategy of the week. So go ahead and take it away, Shivali.
Shivali Patel:
Want to find keywords your competitors are completely overlooking? So you can land on page one faster with almost zero competition? In this video, let’s chat about Helium 10 metric that reveals which search terms are wide open opportunities for new or growing Amazon sellers. I’m talking about title density. Helium 10 is the only tool that has this and we created it to measure how many listings on page one have the outputted search term. For example, if someone searched collagen peptide and our title density number says 40, that means that 40 of the first 50 listings on page one all have that word in the title in exact phrase form.
Shivali Patel:
Having tested this time and time again, we found that it’s a really great way to kind of determine how easy or difficult it might be to get on page one. Now, selling collagen peptides, it would actually be difficult to rank on page one as it’s heavily infiltrated with competitors, but this is just an indicator that you can utilize. You’ll be able to find the metric a few spots in our tools, particularly in any Helium 10 tool that has keyword data. This includes Blackbox, Magnet, Cerebro. But what’s cool is in Blackbox, I can actually find product opportunity based on this. I can filter for it or even sort by it. Say I am searching between a thousand and 5,000 search volume in the home and kitchen category. And I’ve got a few keywords here that come up. Look at this, closet shoe storage, title density of one.
Shivali Patel:
So what does that mean? When I look at this, this is something that searched thousands of times. And there is only one listing on this page that has the exact phrase, closet shoe storage in it. What does that mean? That means if I’m making a product that is in this niche, and that is one of my main keywords, and I put that keyword in my title, I’m gonna be able to rank a whole lot faster, almost from day one at the top half of the page one, simply by doing that. That is so cool. And it’s gonna save you a whole bunch of money. This is just the way that the Amazon algorithm works. And so this will help you uncover hidden gem keywords or hidden gem niches that have opportunity because what you’re seeing may be a highly searched term with no sellers using the term in their title, leading to not only your product ranking being higher, but the likelihood of your competitors actually not really knowing what they’re doing being a real possibility. This is how you can find places to capitalize, dominate and stay ahead for very little effort on your part.
Carrie Miller:
Thank you so much Shivali for that strategy of the week. And let’s go ahead and get into our final piece of news. And that is global warehousing and distribution expands to Ningbo. Okay, so this is basically saying that you could now send inventory to the Amazon’s newest global warehousing and distribution location, and that’s in China. So this is their third GWD warehouse and that gives you more choices in how you wanna store your inventory. So say you wanted to maybe store it cheaper in China before you bring it over because you wanna just kind of filter it with demand.
Carrie Miller:
Then this is a good potential possibility because it can save you money on those storage costs. And then you can basically ship it as you need it while it’s already been manufactured. So that’s something to consider. It’s basically a long-term storage and automatic replenishment capabilities are gonna be available to help you kind of manage FBA inventory. So right now it says that every shipment received at GW facility through December 31st, 2026 qualifies for 30 days of free storage. And there’s no limit on shipments or SKUs and no long-term commitment required. So yeah, if you are wanting to kind of see ways that you can save money, especially with different challenges with the business, costs rising, this could potentially be something that you could utilize to make sure you stay in stock. And then you also don’t overspend on those long-term storage fees, which can really harm your business. All right, that’s all we have this week for the Weekly Buzz. We will see you again next week to see what’s buzzing. Bye everyone.
