Amazon has announced its 2027 fee changes, with higher FBA fulfillment costs that could put more pressure on seller margins. Bradley breaks down the increases across product price points and sizes, plus changes to low-price FBA eligibility, low-inventory fees, storage charges, remote fulfillment, and promotions. There are also some potential savings, including flat or lower storage fees for inventory that turns within six months and an inbound processing discount for single-SKU pallets through AWD. Shivali Patel:

The Amazon variation change everyone wished for. Small fixes you can make to your TikTok shop listings to get you extra orders and extensions information for international FBA shipments. This and more on this week’s episode of The Weekly Buzz. Hello, everybody, and welcome to another episode of the AM-PM podcast by Helium 10. I’m your host, Shivali Patel, and this is the show that is our Helium 10 Weekly Buzz, where we give you a rundown of all the goings on in the Amazon TikTok shop and e-commerce world. We let you know what new features Helium 10 has, and we also give you a training tip of the week.

Shivali Patel:

So let’s get started and see what’s buzzing. First up, let’s talk about the fact that you can detach a variant or ungroup a variation family. This used to be the biggest pain ever, trying to take the child as in and out of a parent listing. However, now it’s really simple. On this note that I’ve found underneath manage all inventory, it says to detach a child listing from its family, open the three dot menu next to that listing and select detach from family. To ungroup an entire family, open the three dot menu next to the parent listing and then select ungroup variation family.

Shivali Patel:

Your child listings will stay active as standalone products and keep their sales history and reviews. You guys, thank goodness you don’t have to do this with flat files anymore, eh? Breaking news number two, Amazon’s new shop direct merchant workspace makes it even easier for stores across the web to have their products discovered by customers on Alexa for shopping and Amazon.

Shivali Patel:

If you are somebody who’s maybe not selling on Amazon and you are on Shopify or TikTok shop or a number of any other platforms, maybe you’re using Wix, you’re using system.io, whatever the case may be. Now you can go to their self-service platform called shop direct merchant workspace and add your products. Okay. Get connected. So that way you are leveraging all of the traffic that Amazon has to offer. Now merchants can reuse product catalogs that they’ve already built for other shopping destinations as a lot of them are really, really common.

Shivali Patel:

You can connect through established third party providers like Feedonomics, Salsify, CED commerce and VersaFeed. Since launching last year, tens of millions of customers have discovered hundreds of millions of unique products from other stores through shop direct. This is definitely worth doing. Even if you guys are selling on Amazon and you’ve got your own site, let’s say, maybe you don’t have your full catalog up, then this could be a really worthwhile option for you where instead of launching directly onto the Amazon platform, instead you can use their self-service portal, the shop direct merchant workspace to go in and list those additional products.

Shivali Patel:

There’s a really quick listicle here that says it’s great for reaching Amazon customers, maintaining your existing day-to-day operations, because this allows you to retain control of your inventory, your pricing, your order fulfillment, your customer service, and provide up-to-date accurate product information. Meaning through the AI connector shop direct allows you to give your Amazon customers near real-time information about your products. And then of course, you can select what you actually want to list inside of shop direct as well. From the sounds of it, it all appears to be easy. You create the account, verify your business website, and then you can just share that catalog by working with a solution provider whose app connects it for you or by integrating directly with the selling partner API. All right, and now it’s time for Bradley to take it away with a new feature alerts.

Bradley Sutton:

All right, thanks, Shivali. Actually, before we get into the new feature alerts, we’ve got some breaking news here, which is the 2027 Amazon fee changes have been dropped. And if you’re expecting lower fees, well, I’m not sure what to tell you. There’s no lower fees as far as the Amazon fulfillment fees, but there are actually some lower fees I’m going to talk about. But let’s get into it. I’m just now getting into this myself.

Bradley Sutton:

I haven’t even looked at it. I’m going to be looking at it with you guys. The first thing here, it says standard size products priced between $10 and $50 on average, this is pretty doozy here, will increase by $0.40 per unit. All right, your fulfillment fees, yikes. And large standard product fees increased by $0.12 a unit, much better. But I think most of us might be in $10 and $50.

Bradley Sutton:

Standard size products priced above $50 will increase by $0.70 on average, and large standard size product fees will increase by $0.47 on average. What about the low price product? You know, like I sell some straws and socks and things like that that are below $10. This one is actually significant, in my opinion, $0.20 per unit on average. I mean, that’s, you know, under $10 products, your margins are pretty thin. So that one is going to be $0.20 on average, all right, increase. Low price eligibility for the low price FBA rates, it’s going to be restricted. Now, it says as far as a narrower set of fee categories. So the ones, the categories that no longer apply for low price FBA are going to be automotive, power sports, compact appliances, what in the world, compact appliances?

Bradley Sutton:

Were there compact appliances under $10 that people were selling? Anyways, musical instruments and AV production, media, books, DVD, music, software, video, and computers. Not sure there’s many computers for $9. But hey, if you’re in one of those categories, you’re taking advantage of the low price eligibility. There’s going to be some new features for bulky products, four new tiers, you guys can see that more in some of the links that we have here. Extra large products, six new tiers, all right, small oversize, medium oversize, large oversize, long oversize.

Bradley Sutton:

I think my weight loss took me from long oversize to medium oversize. Anyways, that’s a side topic here. Yeah, so I’m not going to go too much into detail since that doesn’t cover too much of you guys. But if you’re in, you know, you do large products, bulky products, make sure to check the links below. Low inventory fee. All right, you guys know about this fee.

Bradley Sutton:

Effective February 1, Amazon says the fee will apply only when your inventory falls below 28 days of supply, based on actual shipments in both the four weeks before and after the assessment date. I’m gonna have to read that again offline because I’m not 100% understanding that. But it says, by also evaluating sales in the four weeks after the inventory assessment, this change confirms whether low inventory reflects ongoing demand.

Bradley Sutton:

It’ll also target SKUs that need replenishment and reduce instances triggered by unexpected demand spikes or end of season or end of life products. Okay, that sounds reasonable. Ships and product packaging, no changes to eligibility or enrollment in 2027. And then here, you guys can see, those watching on YouTube, there’s like a chart here of all the different price increases. Like you can see here, two ounces or less, it’s going from a $10 to $50 product, it’s going from $3.32 to $3.75. Let’s see here, let’s do a 14 ounce package going from $3.91 to $4.30. Yikes. There’s also another link that you might find in the description where it goes to this fulfillment fee change page where you can see at the account level what the estimated overall for all your products are.

Bradley Sutton:

And so you can see here on one of my accounts, current fulfillment fees on average $4.95 a unit, and then for 2027, it’s going to go to $5.05. So only $0.10 a unit, not too bad. But if I wanted to, I could look at this by product too, you know, like maybe I have a lot of different size products and I want to see at a more granular level, you can do that. But there’s also a revenue calculator here.

Bradley Sutton:

I don’t understand this completely, because I can like choose other fulfillment fees. And so here I entered the coffin shelf and it says right now it’s $8.02 or $5.10 referral fee. But when I change it to FBA fulfillment fee February 2027, it actually goes down this cost, $8.02 to $7.66. So I do not know what the heck is going on. Maybe that’s like part of the fuel surcharge going away, but this page might be broken or else I’m just using it wrong. But they also said, hey, you can use this page to kind of like compare what’s going to happen.

Bradley Sutton:

But something tells me that this is not changing because like I see the fulfillment fees not changing, you know, in the way that it’s supposed to because it says $7.75 here, but it should be going up, not down. And it’s going down. So you guys might want to refresh that page later, see if this calculator works for you. Some more updates here. It says unified monthly storage fees. It says effective February. They’re going to determine the storage utilization surcharge.

Bradley Sutton:

And these changes will and they’re also removing the age inventory surcharge and combine it with monthly storage fees. Says these changes will result in flat or lower fees for inventory that turns in under six months, higher fees for age inventory and a new age based rate that’ll make your storage costs easier to predict. I’ll take the difficult to predict as long as it’s cheaper. I think you guys might agree with me. Inbound placement service fee. No new changes to inbound placement fees.

Bradley Sutton:

Remote fulfillment fees. Remote fulfillment with FBA from US to Canada. Increasing fees. Average $0.58 per unit. Remote fulfillment from US to Mexico and Brazil. Increased fees. Average of $0.16 per unit. Expand to Canada with Panamericas. This is a new way to expand to Canada. I haven’t heard of this. It’s called Panamericas. It says instead of managing cross-border setup, you ship inventory to a US location and we’ll move a share of those into Canadian fulfillment centers on your behalf.

Bradley Sutton:

That’s actually pretty cool. I like this. I’m just reading the guys. I’m reading this stuff along with you. The first time I did, I didn’t prepare this. I just was like, hey, let me start recording here. This is kind of cool. So you ship to a US location and they’ll move part of that into Canada fulfillment centers. And they’re increasing Panamericas US to Canada fulfillment fees by an average of $0.13 per unit. Promotions fees. Performance-based fees for buy X, get Y promotions. Guess what, guys?

Bradley Sutton:

Now there’s an upfront fee. $5 upfront fee, 2% variable fee capped at $2,000. Monthly billing for all promotions. Effective February. Promotions will be billed monthly to ensure more predictable charges. AWD. Effective February. AW processing fee is $1.55 a box. Transportation fees now $1.58 per cubic foot. And there’s, oh my goodness, a discount. Inbound processing fee discount of 40% for single skew pallets. Multi-channel fulfillment fees.

Bradley Sutton:

You think it’s going up, down? You guess it. Will increase fulfillment fees for MCF standard speed and buy with prime by an average of 3.5%. All right. Not so much. Expedited fees though will stay the same on average. New selection program. We’re now offering $600 in value per new product, double the previous offer to support your growth. Enroll now. There’ll be a link in this link here.

Bradley Sutton:

Enroll to access fee credits, fee storage, free storage, returns, liquidations, and promotional credits. Now, Amazon gave me some additional information. I can’t show on the screen, but like I frequently ask questions. Let me see if I can pull some on there. Question. The fuel surcharge was announced as a temporary surcharge, but now it looks like it’s permanent.

Bradley Sutton:

Can I expect it to drop if fuel prices drop? The answer, that surcharge was added to address elevated fuel and logistics costs, which have not eased. Costs have continued rising, at times running above the surcharge. We have absorbed the difference to provide some stability and we’ll keep reviewing the surcharge as conditions change. And they have an addendum here that starting February, the fuel and logistics surcharge will also apply to AWD, Pan Americas, and MCD. Question.

Bradley Sutton:

How do you define a low price product? These are products under $10 in eligible fee categories. And yeah, that’s pretty much it. How do you define a product priced above $50? Is it list price? The products that have a price of over $50 and one cent are charged a fulfillment fees for the above 50 price, but it doesn’t factor in promotions or discounts.

Bradley Sutton:

So if a product is priced $55 with a $10 coupon, it’s charged based on that $55 price, the 50 and up, not the 45. Question. I’ve never been charged a low inventory level fee before. Why am I seeing it now? It says effective in February, two changes could result in some products being charged this fee for the first time. It now applies to oversize product size tiers, and they’re no longer using the 90 day look back.

Bradley Sutton:

This fee only applies when your inventory falls before four weeks of supply based on your actual shipments and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But that should let you guys know about that. And a little bit more information Amazon is giving on that 28 days before and after for the low inventory fee.

Bradley Sutton:

It says it applies when a product’s inventory level relative to demand known as days of supply falls below 28 days. We calculate days of supply at the product FN skew level by comparing your inventory levels for any given week with your actual units shipped in the 28 days before and after the assessment date for inbound placement service fee. It says, why are you removing the option of choosing central region?

Bradley Sutton:

I must have missed that. I don’t remember that in the announcements. It says we are removing this option to improve the efficiency of inbound shipments for standard size products. Consolidating central into east will help us ship faster for your products. There is no rate card change, but your previous central region shipment will be mapped to east region. You might see a lower cost for your shipment compared to before.

Bradley Sutton:

Yeah. If you’re on the east coast trying to ship to central, why would you want to do that? And if you’re trying to ship to east now, it will be cheaper, but I would think anybody else would be more expensive, but there it is. All right. That’s about it. Guys, there’s pages and pages of documents here, documentation about all these new fees. I want you guys to use that link in the comments below or in the description to go check out. Let me know, what did I miss? I tried to hit all the major ones.

Bradley Sutton:

Is there a major one that I just completely missed? Let me know in the comments, which ones are you excited about? Or maybe I should say pissed off about, or are you happy? Did you think that it was actually going to increase a little bit more due to shipping costs and fuel and wars and things like that? Let me know in the comments. But anyways, yeah, dig into this and let’s now get into the Helium 10 new feature alerts.

Bradley Sutton:

All right. So as usual, the chefs at Helium 10 have been cooking a lot in the kitchen. And so we’ve got a number of new feature alerts. The first one here is in Helium 10 ads. And actual first thing is not even like a new feature. It’s just a kind of like an update to let you know. Now we have something called ad manager and analytics. So before there used to be just an ad manager and there was an analytics page. The original ad manager is going away.

Bradley Sutton:

You’ll be able to get all of your campaigns just from the ad manager and analytics page. Everything has been combined. The second thing you guys are going to notice on this page is there’s a new button that says manage tags. All right. It’s down here at the bottom right. And this allows you to like tag groups of your campaigns so that you can easily get to it fast in Helium 10 ads or with our Helium 10 MCP.

Bradley Sutton:

For example, maybe you have a group of campaigns for various products and they all have keyword tracker rules. As you know, Helium 10 is the one of the only tools out there where you can actually assign a keyword rank rules based on your advertising. In other words, hey, my rank drops below eight on sponsored five hours in a row, increase my bid 15 cents. You guys know you can do that with Helium 10. That’s not a new feature. It’s an old feature.

Bradley Sutton:

We’ve had that forever. But let’s say you have various campaigns that you have such a rule in. You want to just quickly get to them and maybe do some adjustments. Now you would hit this button, manage tabs or manage tags. And then you can actually create tags. Here’s my Black Friday campaigns or here’s some campaigns that I use only during Prime Day or only during Thanksgiving weekend or something.

Bradley Sutton:

And now you can just turn them off and on. But you set up the tag name and then you add which campaigns you want in them. Once you do that, now you’ll have a list of a whole bunch of tags that you can manage and assign to different campaigns. And then here on this analytics page, you’ll be able to search. For example, there will be a new filter here called campaign tags. And you can just easily get to whatever campaigns you’re looking for.

Bradley Sutton:

This is especially helpful for those of you who’ve got hundreds and hundreds of campaigns and different groups of campaigns. And this allows you to have a little bit more grouping as opposed to just being stuck to the Amazon ads groups. Next up with our Helium 10 agent. Again, Helium 10 is the only tool in the space, all in one tools who has our very own agent. You don’t need to use Claude. You don’t need to use ChatGPT.

Bradley Sutton:

You’ve got a powerful one, just as good as Opus 5.5. As a matter of fact, that’s what we run on in Helium 10. And it is inside of Helium 10, you just hit that button on the bottom right. And now the new feature is instead of just being able to talk and get results in it, like in the Helium 10 dashboard and seeing charts and data right there, you can now export PDF, Excel, Word, and CSV files.

Bradley Sutton:

So when you’re trying to pull data, and you like what you see, and you manipulate the data, and you’re like, all right, you’ve got this cool report. Instead of just having it right there inside of Helium 10, you can now convert it to PDF, Excel, etc. So that’s something new for the Helium 10 agent.

Bradley Sutton:

Those of you Diamond members who haven’t used it yet, take it out for a spin, ask us some questions. You’ll be shocked how fast it is, usually faster than like Claude and ChatGPT, because it’s right there native inside of Helium 10. Next up, last week, we talked about our Deal Event Pulse.

Bradley Sutton:

That’s a brand new tool that we have available for Elite and Diamond members, where every big tentpole event, you know, Black Friday, Prime Big Deal Days, Prime Day Week, etc, etc. We’re going to have this kind of like big section inside of Helium 10. And we’re going to have that soon too for Black Friday, Cyber Week, whatever you call it, whatever you call it these days, that’s coming up.

Bradley Sutton:

And you’re going to have on your main dashboard, where you’ll have like a map of all your orders and things like that. So it’s going to be pretty, pretty cool, where you can actually track what is going on in real time. When I say cool and real time and map, I literally mean that there’s gonna be a heat map. And if you have it on like, guys, once this comes on, put it on your dashboard, we’ll try and do it automatically. But there’ll be a map. So you’ll have it.

Bradley Sutton:

And then as orders are coming through, there’ll be like little dots that light up on the screen. And it will like hair, here’s an order that just came through in Brooklyn, New York. And here’s an order that just came through in this place. And here’s you just hit a milestone, it’s gonna be super cool, this tool. So so we announced that a couple months ago. So be looking forward to that.

Bradley Sutton:

But now for elite members, and it’s going to go to diamond probably next week, or probably probably next week, because that’s when Cyber Week starts. But now we’ve got something where you can actually look back. Alright, so elite members can see this. Now you want to look back at the last four tentpole events, like right now, you might want to look back, how did you guys do in prime big deal days? Well, go into your profits tool, and then click on deal event pulse. And once you do that, you’ll see the ones that are upcoming, but you can go back to the old ones.

Bradley Sutton:

And so for example, here’s an account where we can see the prime big deal days 2026 recap. And there will be an overview here of how much sales do we do on prime big deal days? How many units sold profit? What was the margins? What was my ACoS? How many sales were ads?

Bradley Sutton:

What was my TACoS? In addition, you’re going to see a PLN PNL breakdown, you know, a lot of a lot of us are are discounting heavily during Prime Day and Cyber Week and things like that. And so you might want to be like, Hey, how did I do? Did I come up ahead? Did I lose some money on some stuff, you’ll be able to break down all of your numbers on this event recap page, you’ll see what were the top products that you that sold during the event? What was the profit on each one?

Bradley Sutton:

There’s an ads recap, all right, where day by day, you’re going to see what was your ad spend, you can graph different things here. What was your a cost day by day? What were the top 10 campaigns that were making money? And then you’ll get insights to where you’ll be able to pull up Hey, what were the ones that were bleeding me dry, like campaigns or targets where I was just getting tons of clicks, and no sales, you’ll be able to pull that up. What were the highest performing search terms that were driving sales like this will be very good information to have for next year.

Bradley Sutton:

Again, you’ll be able to pull it from this deal event pulse because as you guys know, buyer behavior is different during Prime Day, Cyber Week, etc, than regular, you know, the conversion rate for a lot of things is higher, or it could be lower if your competitors are doing bigger discounts than you. So you might not want to make big decisions on your ads, like pausing things and increasing bids, lowering bids just based on what’s happening during these events, because you need to look at these events sometimes in a silo. So then next year, you’d go back to this pulse and pull up Hey, what happened? What were my top performing campaigns?

Bradley Sutton:

What targets for whatever reason were performing bad? What was performing good? Hey, what’s my hourly heat map, you’ll be able to pull that up to you know, like, it’s about clicks. It’s not just about Oh, when did your when did you make the most sales? It’s about which times of day during Prime Week during Cyber Week, which times of day were most profitable and least profitable, all super valuable information, all information you can only get through Helium 10. You can’t do this if you’re just connecting to Amazon ads like this hourly, hourly data here.

Bradley Sutton:

So a lot of great stuff that the team is doing. This is just phase one, there’s gonna be a phase two on this brand new tool in Helium 10 over the last few weeks we’ve been rolling out called a deal event poll. So all elite members, get into your profits dashboard, pull up the deal event polls and let us know what you think about it.

Bradley Sutton:

If everything’s working for you. If you’d like to see a another feature, you Diamond members be looking out for this in your profits dashboard within the coming weeks. And all Diamond and Elite members, look out for that big map and the big polls that will come up at the top of your screen right before Prime or not Prime Day, but Cyber Week starts.

Bradley Sutton:

All right, another update of my travels coming up. So if anybody would like to be interviewed for the podcast over the next few days, let me know. I’m doing an interview tomorrow in Dublin. So be looking for that’s gonna be a cool interview. I’ll be in Manchester and Wrexham the next day. I think you guys can guess why I’m going to Wrexham.

Bradley Sutton:

So anybody in that area, I’ve got like a super long layover in Vienna and Bratislava. So I was just there a few weeks ago, I did an interview there. So if anybody’s in Bratislava, Vienna area, Budapest, I can do interviews with you on Sunday. And then Monday, I will be in Zambia in Africa. I’m going to an ad show in Korea, but I’m taking a long route where I can be at a place where I can actually work from the hotel. And so I was like, hey, let me pick some layovers in a couple places I’ve never been.

Bradley Sutton:

And so I’ll be in Zambia on Monday, and Zimbabwe, Africa on Tuesday. And then Wednesday through Friday, I will be in Seoul, South Korea. Don’t forget, if you guys want to go to that event, go to just seongsu-airport.com. And you’ll see that event. It’s a free Amazon ads event. I’ll be there. Destaney will be there. Vincenzo will be there. So be great to see some familiar faces there in Korea. So that’s my last travels of the year, other than me visiting our teams in Philippines and China in December. So last chance to get interviewed. If you’re in any of those places, please email [email protected]. Or you can send me a message on Instagram, Serious Sellers Podcast. All right, back to you, Shivali.

Shivali Patel:

Thank you so much for that, Bradley. Now, earlier today, I was actually shooting a video that talked about how listing optimization, small tweaks that you make, even in your main listing image, that let’s say boosts your click-through rate by 1%, or say your conversion rate by 3%, can even double your sales. I know, the math doesn’t seem to be mathing.

Shivali Patel:

But I promise you, if you do find that video, you will see exactly what I mean. Because we were able to change the click-through rate by 1% and the conversion rate by 3%, going into listingoptimization.ai, as well as utilizing PickFu, and split testing a handful of different images. And once we got to that sweet spot where most of the audience, 65% or more, was actually clicking our products, as opposed to our competitors, well, then we were seeing more than double the sales.

Shivali Patel:

And the same can be true of any platform, really, right? Including TikTok Shop AI. So what their AI does is it estimates extra orders that you can get per listing fix. This is especially great coming ahead of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and all of these fantastic holidays. I freaking love the holiday season. So here you have TikTok Shop just wrote a guide for you as sellers on using its built-in AI, which it now calls Seller AI, to get ready.

Shivali Patel:

And in it, it does a whole breakdown of where it’s getting this information and how you can best use it. For example, the first is the AI homepage. This is where everything congregates. It will read your shop for you the moment you log in, surface the moves that matter most, and give you a ranked to-do list with the highest priority tasks at the top. I know if you are anything like me, then you enjoy lists and you enjoy getting things off of that list. The second is that seller assistant.

Shivali Patel:

It’s going to give you a question and answer panel next to the homepage, responding in plain language at any hour, using the shop’s data and TikTok Shop’s own guidance. And this is all based off of some AI agents that are working across your business, divvied out into assortment, content, and empowerment sectors. If you scroll down on this article on PPC land, it actually even goes a bit further.

Shivali Patel:

It tells you what kind of things will surface. For example, product growth opportunities, reviewing all the products that there are and comparing it against similar products and how they’re performing. If there’s any claims for each recommendation, it shows the expected payoff in additional order, so you can prioritize them, focusing on the wrong decisions. The tool also flags two groups of products, high potential products, as well as ones that approach it, lists three reasons a product may surface, a new listing flag does high potential, and then how that order estimate is produced is not described. Some additional things it can bring up for you, the one-click SEO. If you select it, it’ll align your product names with the keywords shoppers are actively searching for.

Shivali Patel:

Again, caution against going fully with what AI is recommending, but rather using it as a starting point that you can then go in and actually audit yourself and make sure that it makes sense for you. The guide does not say whether this will rewrite your product titles automatically or propose a title for approval, so if any of you guys have tried this, let me know in the comment section what was it like and what do you think of it. For content, second move is about supply.

Shivali Patel:

It’ll look at driving discovery and conversion throughout the campaign and peak demand requires a steady flow, so it will consider any sort of content opportunities providing or producing sales-ready videos, photos, and minutes without a separate shoot or a long edit. This is kind of what I was talking about earlier. This is what we did for our Amazon listing using third-party services. You guys can do this even for TikTok, and it can make a really, really big difference even if you think it won’t. I think something to bear in mind is because we have AI now, we think that it’s super simple because all of these images that we come up with or rewriting the listing takes a few minutes when really, in fact, it used to take us hundreds of dollars to do a new photo shoot or even lots of time to figure out which keywords to use and what to incorporate in. Now we can do that with a few clicks.

Shivali Patel:

We almost underplay what the value or the weight of that could carry. Go and give it a try. That’s what I encourage you to do. Then move three, campaigns. Missing a campaign you qualify for or entering one without the right setup can leave sales on the table. During your highest demand window, of course, the last thing we want to do is spend money and there’s no conversions behind it. The campaigns agent will bring together every campaign you qualify for and give you the exact tasks to get sales ready. All right. As a refresher, Black Friday falls on November 27th, 2026, and Cyber Monday is on November 30th.

Shivali Patel:

That leaves 23 days between today’s guide and Black Friday by this website’s count, and this was published yesterday. So 22 days in the running, you guys. Okay. Off to you, Carrie, for the strategy of the week.

Carrie Miller:

Did you know that only Helium 10 has an automatic keyword harvesting tool? This is a feature that’s completely unique to Helium 10, and it can save you a ton of time while helping you uncover valuable keywords you might otherwise miss. Now the traditional keyword research methods still work, of course.

Carrie Miller:

Maybe like for example, once a week, every other week, or once a month, you go into Cerebro and manually enter your competitors one by one. And you look to see where they’re showing up in the sponsored or organic placements for any new keywords on page one that maybe you’re not even tracking or ranking for yet. Another strategy is if you’re a solopreneur or have a virtual assistant, you could go through all 10 of your competitors on a regular basis and compare the results to make sure that they aren’t generating any sales from keywords that you might not have discovered.

Carrie Miller:

Now this was and is still a very solid strategy, but let’s be honest, it’s super time consuming. That’s why Helium 10 introduced automatic keyword harvesting. We’ve built two simple ways to completely automate this process so you can just set it once and get notified whenever new keywords meet your specific criteria.

Carrie Miller:

So I’m going to go ahead and show you how this works on Helium 10. So the first thing you want to do is obviously log into Helium 10, and this is our dashboard. So this is the first way that we’re going to be able to do this keyword harvesting, and you need a diamond plan for this.

Carrie Miller:

Now I’m going to also show you a way to do this if you are on the platinum plan as well, because you can do it with both plans, but maybe in just a different area. So this is for the diamond plan, and what you’re going to do is you’re going to first go to competitors. You want to make sure that you have added your competitors in your insights dashboard, or basically your top competitors here, because you won’t be able to harvest keywords unless you’ve specified which competitors you have that you want to take a look at their keywords.

Carrie Miller:

The next thing you want to do is you want to go down to the very bottom where it says insights settings, and this is where you are going to create your rules. So we’re going to hit create new insight, and then you’re going to go down to keyword. This is where you can either choose based on your own competitors or your products.

Carrie Miller:

So if you wanted to get keyword suggestions based on your competitors, you can choose that one, and then you can go down here. You can either specify a specific product or all products, and then you set it up here. So I’m going to say I want to see keywords that have at least 500 search volume.

Carrie Miller:

My product rank is 40 to 100, and I want to see where my competitors are ranking for keywords where at least one of my competitors has the organic rank between one and let’s do 39 here just to see where we’re missing, and then you’re going to need to name the insight. So competitor keywords, and then you can hit create insight, and then it’ll basically create those insights for you. Now, if you want to see where those actual insights are, you can actually see this on the dashboard here where it says it’s going to give you these suggestions.

Carrie Miller:

Now let’s go back, and I’m going to show you how to do the other way. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to go to insight settings again, create new insight, and then we’re going to go back to keywords, and I’m going to do based on my own products. Okay, so maybe you start to rank for a product, and you’re maybe unaware of it, but it might be a good product you’re getting sales on, so you want to track it and make sure you maintain your rank.

Carrie Miller:

So I want to see keywords where the search volume is a minimum of 500, and then the organic rank is between one and 10, and that is basically going to say, hey, these are keywords where you’re ranking, but you’re not tracking this keyword yet, and then you can go ahead and create that insight again, just like I showed you before. Now, the second way to do this is in another tool called Keyword Tracker, and this is one of our best tools, and it basically helps you to track your keywords on a consistent basis. So if you have a platinum account, this is available to you, platinum and above, platinum, diamond, elite, and what you’re going to do is you’re going to go down here, you got to make sure that you have competitors listed, of course, in this particular section, and then what you’re going to do is you’re going to go to the suggested keywords section, and you’re going to hit customize settings, and this is where you can basically do the same exact thing that I was showing you before, and it’s basically, you know, going to show you all those keyword suggestions, just like I showed you on Insights dashboard, and you can either decide to start tracking them or not. So why does this matter? Well, because this feature is exclusive to Helium 10, so sure, you can still do this manually within Cerebro, but the real competitive advantage is going from spending, you know, 30 minutes plus every, you know, few weeks to zero minutes, because it’s all done for you automatically, and it’s easy to see how this can really lead to results.

Carrie Miller:

You’re uncovering new keywords your competitors are ranking for and generating sales from, and you’re getting the chance to compete for those same terms. So make sure automatic keyword harvesting is turned on for as many of your products as possible inside Helium 10. It’s one of the simplest ways to drive more traffic and sales with less effort.

Shivali Patel:

Wonderful. Thank you so much, Carrie. Now, how many of you guys are experiencing longer transit times and maybe sweating over the fact that, oh, you may get charged a few fees because it’s not going to make it in time? Well, thankfully, Amazon knows that Q4 comes with a lot of that. And because so many of you are experiencing longer ocean transit times, port delays and customs, during this peak season, they have given us a little bit more flexibility.

Shivali Patel:

We have two temporary changes that they have announced in the new section of Seller Central for particularly international shipment plans created between August 1st and November 30th. That is the caveat you guys will have needed to make the shipment plans in that timeframe. They have extended the window for related shipments to arrive after the first shipment in a multi-destination plan is received from 30 to 45 days.

Shivali Patel:

You will not be charged the usual deleted or abandoned defect fee as long as your remaining shipments are received within 45 days of the first receive. And they’ve extended the automatic shipment closure window to 90 days, giving your in-transit shipments more time to arrive before they close. These are some things to expect.

Shivali Patel:

The defect is going to be flagged in your inbound performance dashboard, but the fee is waived, so you shouldn’t worry about that. If you do see yourself getting charged for some reason while you are still eligible, make sure to open a ticket. Any inbound defect fees already charged will be reimbursed as well.

Shivali Patel:

So if for some reason you’re not seeing that reimbursement, then make sure you have opened that ticket. It does say no action is required, but you can never be too safe. And that is my personal opinion. It’s been lovely chatting with you guys. That is it for this week’s Weekly Buzz. I will see you next week to see what’s buzzing.
