Finding useful Amazon hacks can be advantageous to sellers in many different ways…
Jeremiah Kovacs, Founder of MuseMinded
“My favorite hack as a finance guy is definitely like refund recovery services. A lot of people… they could be a year or two or three in the game before they realize there’s all these transactions that happen and they basically have like free money. There’s like Helium 10’s Refund Genie. It’s like huge in terms of finding refunds that were due lost damaged items. My brother’s business, they found like two-grand. Pretty cool hack.”
Tim Jordan, President and Co-Founder of Hickory Flats
“One of my favorite ones is sending trash into FBA, and I’ll do this for a few reasons… I’ll literally take just generic packaging and I’ll take chunks of wood or pieces of pallets or whatever, [and] send them to FBA to hold a spot. And one of the reasons for this is maybe I’m holding inventory for lightning deals, because you have to have inventory for like six months before you’re on a lightning deal. The other thing I’ll do is pay per click testing with junk. I can send them five of something… jack the price up where nobody will actually buy it. But then I can run pay per click ads and get total impression counts as well as cost per click, which tells me about my competition.”
Till Andernach, FBA Europe Wizard
“Selling on other marketplaces is actually not that hard. Once you understand that you can very easily sell on other marketplaces, and that the Amazon game is like very similar to your home marketplace, you can really 10x sales potential. Being on different marketplaces means also you have different accounts. They shut off one of your accounts, you just got a second or a third one.”
